Kip Turner
Lacrosse Experience:
16 years.
Who Introduced You to the Sport?
My brother was 3 years older, playing in a league. I was obnoxious and demanded to play. Severna Park Maryland Green Hornets. I wanted to do what he was doing.
Personal Moment That Defines Lacrosse:
A combo of a couple things—winning, and also the fans. I love that they wait after the game to get autographs. It’s inspiring.
What Makes Maverik Best?
I love the Maybach gloves. They’re the most protective and comfortable.
Toughest part of the game:
Major league shooting drills. To come out of a week, working a day job, and then face Rabil shooting at you from 10 yards away. Pretty tough.
Day job:
I’m selling cars. The guys here are hilarious and they talk about all guy things all the time.
Music to Take the Field to:
Queen or Pearl Jam.
Other sports:
I’m a huge believer in hand-eye coordination. Keeping it fine-tuned. So I play tennis, ping pong, squash…any racquet sports. Tennis and golf are my passions.
